Rakugo is a traditional storytelling art that demands years of training before one becomes a high-ranking shinuchi. Akane Ousaki has always admired her father, Tooru, since childhood. When Tooru takes his promotion test before he shows his talent to Master Issho Arakawa, he delivers an excellent performance but still gets expelled from school. After that, he left Rakugo and started a simple life, but this broke Akane's heart seeing him like this. Akane seeks revenge and is determined to learn Rakugo from master Shiguma. To overcome her past regrets, Shiguma challenges her to perform in front of an audience.
